- My love for Greyhounds and Whippets started in my childhood.
- I would spend my summer holidays with our blacksmith and his
wife in Dunsford on Dartmoor,
- halter breaking their new Welsh foals. They had at one time
been into greyhound racing and still had a
- few old timers. I was totally bewitched by them - their
elegance, speed and above all their gentleness.
- In 1980 I saw an advert for Whippets in my local newspaper - that
was that really, I bought a black boy.
- 'Solo' was everything I'd dreamed of, totally devoted he came
everywhere with me. I was completely hooked.
- Twenty two years later I'm still addicted.
